Oak Creek – Leander’s Newest Master Planned Subdivision & Community
Oak Creek in Leander is the newest master-planned community with plenty of new home choices. The neighborhood features a grand entrance with an entry tower with native Texas Hill Country trees, grass and shrubs.
The Oak Creek subdivision totals 151 acres with approximately 624 houses from three builders, Pacesetter, Megatel and Castlerock. The community has set aside almost 10% of it’s development area for parklands residents and homeowners to enjoy. Hiking trails wind through the community with other small pay areas and pocket parks. Small pocket parks provide outdoor grills and picnic tables. There is also and amenity center which will include a swimming pool, a covered pavilion, restrooms, a dog park, and playground.
The Oak Creek Subdivision has all underground utilities, with curbed streets and sidewalks. All Oak Creek subdivision utilities have been planned for, with the possibility of certain cable companies offering over 1 gigabit Internet speeds.

The Oak Creek community is located near an HEB Plus grocery store and the Capital Metro bus and MetroRail station. The neighborhood is within the Leander Independent School District. LISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas, with more than 36,000 students at 39 campuses. The district is large at nearly 200 square miles. The 2014-2015 status for Leander ISD is “accredited.” Accreditation statuses are based on state academic accountability ratings and the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (School FIRST). In 2014, Leander ISD received the “Met Standard” rating for state accountability and received a Superior Achievement rating in School FIRST.
